I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

And there is nothing wrong with spelling things correctly either!

I'll see what I can do Allan!
Just a quick update, it seems supping a bit of petrol takes hold of you rather quickly, as I now have a rather large looking pile of bits sat in the workshop, awaiting some servos and bit and pieces... . It has also come with a big lump of shaped metal, that I am informed is the motor. The esc looks rather small, and only seems to have one connection, by way of a screw on plug? It's all new fangled to me anyway....
Oh, and I regret to inform everyone it is primarily red. The price was good though, so it's not too bad I suppose!
More later, but for now it's a secret, and shhh! Don't tell the wife!

How about some engine BLING for your new toy http://www.secraft.net/shop/step1.php?number=819
(check out the rest of the site) A snip at the price and it cuts down on vibration to the airframe. Or, if your not feeling quite so flush and don't care about the bling http://www.apacheaviation.co.uk/Engine_Vibration_Eliminators_/engine_vibration_eliminators_.html

Anti vibration mounts, nice. I'm going to try and shake this model, built from sliced and dried tree, to bits though!
I've just ordered some servos for it too. Savoc SC1258 for the ailerons/elevator and Savox SC1256 for the rudder. Should be good

Re: Oh dear, I seemed to have drank some petrol....
Just got to install some batteries and switches now, and it is ready to go. Anyone got any suggestions for the batteries?
I was thinking that two 2s A123 packs feeding a Powerbox Gemini should do the trick, allowing me to run the rx and ignition off of one unit that handles both batteries....

Re: Oh dear, I seemed to have drank some petrol....
One set of 2300mAh A123 cells will feed the rx and servos plus the ignition via a 6A power diode to give you the 0.7V drop (just in case). Would give you the link for the cct dia. and info but the guy didn't want to go on paying for the hosting. I have, however a copy of the info I could email you if you like. The cells would need to be recharged every 5 flights or so but can fast charged (v/fast). Give this site a look also for some more info http://www.hangtimes.com/

Tonight would be excellent, apart from the fact there is no way on this earth i am going to be finished working until about 9pm, and then I have an hour training session to do on the rowing machine, and a large portion of eating too...
Tomorrow or weds might be an option though....

Right, I think it's ready to go. Just need to add some fuel, and charge the batteries. Oh and, Does anyone normally run a filter before the carb? Just wondering....
