I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Field Gate Lock
Got a call from Zaid this morning saying he couldn't get in the gate so I shot down there with all manor of lubricants (no KY) but was unable to get it undone feels like maybe a tumbler has broken inside anyways we need a new one, the old one will need cutting off but no point doing this till new is available. Apparently Jem Mathews does have stock Zaid having spoken to him on the subject. The farmer can still get in via his lock.
P.S. Thinking back there were some Environment Agency guys in there last week sometime when I was passing

Re: Field Gate Lock
Hi, I have put out a call to the rest of the committee to see if any of them have or can borrow ether a decent pair of bolt cutters or a cordless angle grinder to cut the faulty lock off with. If I get any luck I'll let you know on here later on.

Re: Field Gate Lock
Hey Brian
Thanks for dropping by this morning to sort the lock out with your special Lube and giving me a hand with models ! Had a really nice morning session, the new trex had its maiden hover (two tanks) and only had to make minor modifications. The others were spot on.
I have a set of bolt cutters if anybody is driving by Rhos on Sea (Well used) they can pick them up

Re: Field Gate Lock
As a point of interest the field is much wetter again now than it was during the recent cold frosty snap we had over the Christmas period deffinately favours helis and wellies

Mark, according to RT there is a spare key to the farmers padlock in the peg board box, (provided it has not been removed) so you may be able to gain access that way and fit the new lock next to the old one for now without needing to cut the other one off.

Re: Field Gate Lock
Cheers for sorting this out guys! I'm not much use sorry, not got any bolt cutters, or cordless angry-grinders. I do have a big hammer, and enough strength to use it effectively if that helps?
Cheers

Re: Field Gate Lock
Yep thank's Jeremy and all the rest of you who pulled together to sort this one out. At least the field will be accessable again now even though it's rather soggy. Suerly the weather MUST improve at some time.
