I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Gate locked
I called at the field tonight for couple of hours flying but couldn't get on due to the gate being locked. Our combination lock was hooked on the fence. Don't know if the farmer has been down and locked us out.

Re: Gate locked
I would have thought most likely to be the environment agency guys been down there checking drainage ditches after the recent weather.
Re: Gate locked
I will go and check it out in half an hour or so.

Re: Gate locked
Whoever locked us out must have the combination for our lock as it has been left open on the fence.

Re: Gate locked
UPDATE!
We are back on the field!
As described above our lock was open and hanging on the fence, The gate was locked via the brass key lock.
It appears that not for the first time our field was left unlocked again!
The Environment Agency working on our field today and locking the gate up using the key lock as they normally would left us locked out.
Tonight myself and Rich have had to chase all over the show getting keys off the farmer for the lock to open and then close properly so we are back to normal again.
Further clues to a member leaving the gate unlocked are the peg box being unlocked as well.
Please can all members communicate to non forum users or indeed anyone at the field. LAST PERSON TO LEAVE MUST LOCK THE GATE!

Re: Gate locked
Sorry to stray off topic but have we got any update on Henry's health after tonight ?
Re: Gate locked
Well done guys.
would it be a good idea to maybe post a reminder to every member re the gate and also the lekky fence? I know it will cost money.
Its obvious that a club member or members! need reminding with the rules and especially the field being so close to a busy road.

Re: Gate locked
Henry was looking very well considering.
He said he did have a heart attack and as a result had a stent. He is recovering well and trying to get back to normal with a little help, Very chatty as normal and busy trying to stop his dogs from eating me.
