I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

    Hi
I have a new pack in my tutor 40, its a 2600mah 6v pack, and I charged it up a while ago to test the engine, since then I havent used it. Should I charge it more?
If so for how long as I dont want to overcharge.

depends on how long ago it was charged - if its a NiMh pack ( likely ) then they do suffer from self discharge ( oo eerrr ) .
Best to recharge it the night before you intend using it - use your fancy new charger on auto NiMh setting, and charge at around 1.5A or so.

I have other side hobbies to that need funding to!
and I dont have the bits about so I would have to order them, but then if Im gonna do that, then I might as well order a fully made lead for less! sunny

If you charge other stuff with it, then you must already have leads....all you need do is add the correct plug /socket on the end with the others. If its a simple rx pack, than all you need is an old servo plug /socket type thingy, and your sorted. You will find it useful to make up a "multiway" set of leads, with all the sockets and plugs you will ever likely encounter all "spliced" ont o the end ( just connect them all in parallel with each other in other words ) and the two banana plugs or wahtever on the other end - these go in you charger output ports. Ill show you the sort of thing I mean tomorrow....I alaways have one in the boot of the car for charging emergencies etc.

As Tim says sort yourself out Sam, last thing you want tomorrow is me saying im not flying that with low batts! And after reading this you can be sure i`ll be checking.

How did you carge your last RX pack, I would guess a wall mounted charger? if so cut the plug off there and splice as Tim says, 5 min job with the solder

These rabbits runs could be a bit of a entrepreneurial break through, just keep putting the bucks n does together and hey presto, more hutches required! Cool
