I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Re: Tuesday 2nd March
Oh well someone has to make use of this weather
A great afternoon with Brian, Danny, Roy and myself in attendance.
Brian maidened the new Edge which looks and flies superbly.
First lift off
Nice slow fly bye for the camera
Roy flew the Flash and Danny flew his Lepton and T Rex600.
I dusted off my 600 nitro and apart from some wrong governor settings remembered how to fly a helicopter

What condition is the strip in Brian/Guys? I'm wondering if an afternoon of kerosene burning on Thursday is called for......

Re: Tuesday 2nd March
It's pretty heavy going Andy with not having been grazed by the sheep theres a fair bit of grass. My new Edge was inclined to nose over with little provocation admitedley fitted with spats which don't help. Rich if you read this, I am in no way getting at you about the strip in fact for the time of year and the winter we've had this time around it's damn good I think your jet may struggle Andy but until you try you'll never know
Re: Tuesday 2nd March
Hmmm, I suppose I could always hand launch it.....

I'm glad you finally got to fly the beast, I trust it all went well, not sure if the prop is scale colour though.
Would the gate area & approach to the strip take the car, trailer & mower, or is it time to call in the roller
Re: Tuesday 2nd March
I don't think the car & trailer would make it out there the mower on it's own might if you pick your line carefully It's just on the soft side for the roller IMHO
Re: Tuesday 2nd March
no problems Brian, it'll have to wait. I probably think that the grass when cut would be a little damp & clog the drums on the mower
