I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Flybarless kits for 500,600,700 preorder.
Finally some pics and preorders for the Align 500,600 and 700.
Not the cheapest but they look pretty cool.

That is just a pre-order £10 deposit Sam the price on the 700 one is close on £300

It does include the clever electronic gubbins by the looks of it though. That makes it quite competitively priced IMHO.
I'm quite keen to hear how the flybarless helis fly compared to the mechanical flybar-ed helis. Is it a case of there being not a lot of difference to the pilot, or do the flybarless ones tend to be more "planted" in the air?

Well a man of your obscene wealth Andy could afford to buy a couple and do back to back tests for us

Whilst I would love to do just that Brian, All future spare money is being diverted into the "Little Andy" fund at present
It's put my Trex 700 fund on hold, my new mountain bike fund on hold and a few others too. I'm just glad I managed to get a couple of turbines in beforehand!
Just been reading a couple of reviews of flybarless systems, and they seem pretty good really. Agian though, I can't help wondering why the software hasn't been extended slightly to provide self stabilisation etc....
So, is anyone going to take the plunge and go flybarless?

Re: Flybarless kits for 500,600,700 preorder.
From what I have read on the subject the main reason for golng flybar less seems to be the quest for power amongs the 3D boys. Less bits wizzing around = less drag = more power available. They also claim it tightens up the cyclic response. To be honest on a pod and boom machine at club level I would not bother. Scale is a nother matter and the lack of flybar is a great benefit to scale apearance. The virtual flybar has been around for some time for use on multblade heads (3 and over) to make them easier to fly. At the moment its a bit of bling I can do without. £300.00 buys a lot of fuel for my new 90
