I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Best wishes Dave - neighbour had both replaced about a year ago ( he was 74 ) and was walking 6 miles a day within 8 weeks.

Re: Hip replacement
Just spoke to Dave on the phone, he's not gone in yet due to the problems with his appendix - that needs to be sorted first.

Re: Hip replacement
Absolutley, he's not having to good a time at the moment. He's lost 3.5st due to problems with his 'insides'. When he next goes flying we may have to tie him down if there's much of a wind blowing otherwise HE may go flying ; if you see what I mean.

Re: Hip replacement
Had a call from Dave last night. Sorry to say he's in hospital with a DVT (deep vein thrombosis) in the right leg - same side as his bad hip. They've put him on the rat poison (warferine) and under close watch to make sure that there are no complications as the clot in the leg breaks up. He said that he hoped to be out fairly soon and that he would update me on his condition as soon as he had any news. I'm sure that everyone will join with me in wishing him a speedy recovery.
