I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

Well after a lot of soul searching and selling a couple pf models to raise funds I have taken the plunge and bought a 700 nitro for next year.
It is the original 700 as designed by Alan Sabato and I got a very good deal from Bob at Skyline models. Power plant is an OS91 HZ on an Align muffler and a week into the build I have just finished the radio instalation.

I am glad I did not go for the LE (despite Fast Lads offer this week) as I think the all black finish on mine looks better.

Got all the links to do then on to the tail but there is no rush with the weather as it is.

My only regret is that you have to hide that beautiful engine under a duct as it looks so good.

Yes Sam its a 4500ma LIPO running through an 10 amp regulator feeding the avionics.
The size of that tank is scary Brian and I reckon that I will need to buy an electric pump to fill the beast otherwise I will be suffering repetitive strain injury Smile and yes Allan I have been stockpiling fuel and have 8 gallons in the shed to get me started Very Happy Very Happy .

If we get a half decent summer I think you'll need to add a 0 to that 8. Say 2oz/m consumption; 160oz = 1gal gives 80 mins flying (max). If you fly it regularly then 8gal will last you a month maybe 6 weeks! Let the train wallet credit card take the strain Crying or Very sad

Woohoo, nice one Dave that was fast,I'm loving the neat wiring.Job well done.
I've taken a plunge as well but not the 700 as it came to £1750 with the JR 8 volt setup so that will have to be next year.
I've gone for one of these.

I had to have another 50 so I can try the OS 55. Very Happy
It will arrive on monday but it's a christmas prezzie so I can't start the build untill christmas day.But it gives me a month to get the bit's together.
I can't wait to see all these new models in the air when the weather pics up.
