I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

And going by the records in the log book, only Brian Colclough seems to be venturing out. The grass is about 2" long, so only an issue for anyone with very small (tiny) wheels. The ground is wet but not sticky or sinking, so if the weather people have it right and we have no rain, the ground is good for flying over the festive season. Just don't drive too far from the gate area onto the field or affraid

It's now Christmas Day, I still can't fully shake off this virus I've had for the last three weeks or so but what the hell things could be loads worse Wink Just had a loveley Christmas lunch with all the trimmings and the only flying I'll be doing is into the arms of Morphius in my favorite armchair this afternoon drunken Tomorrow maybe a different story if the weather holds fair Wink

I had signed you in Laughing If you go down the field before me, can you take some WD40 for the peg board lock. It is nearly seized up, preventing many from signing in. I spent 5 minutes trying to un-lock it silent Weather forecast is for temp' to be hovering around zero. I shall stay by the warm fire, me thinks drunken Sleep

Festive technical tip, if you haven't got WD40 a shot of glo fuel will do the trick on the lock, the methanol evaporates and leaves the oil behind probably not quite as good as WD but gets it done Wink
