I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Birchwood
AS some of know I was at the Birchwood model boat convention this weekend.
Have a look at the link below as it shows what one of my water skiers got up to when she met some Navy types

PS I kept the flag flying by flying my Flash on the lawm outside the hall. Problem is it cost me a fiver to sent a young lad to the top of a very high tree to retrieve it

You need to watch out David, handing out fivers to young lads for favours. People will talk !David Sargent wrote:

Re: Birchwood
That waterskiier cracks me up everytime I see it! Ever thought about doing stunts with it Dave? You could build a little floating ramp.....

Re: Birchwood
Paul I am more worried about being noticed hanging around toy shops buying cheep dolls to use as ater skiers
Glad you find the skiers of interest Andy. Yes the ski jump is under development as is a skier on a parachute The main problem at the moment is that the scale I am currently working at has reached its limits with regard to stability. A new ski boat of around 900mm is on the drawing board which will bring the size of the skier to around 450mm in height (currently 300mm). This will alow me to put a reciever etc IN the skier and opens up a whole new range of possibilities. The ski boat is at present to light and when I tried towing the skier with chute, any slight gust of wind lifted the transom out of the water Further developments will be reported as and when I get the time.

Re: Birchwood
I'm looking forward to seeing it all in action then! IMagine that, a RC waterskier that can flick the V's at onlookers as he (or she) cruises around the pond....
