I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

Don't know if anyone is interested but the Airbus A380 is doing a tour of this country on Saturday 5th September. It's doing arrival and goes at a number of airports in Scotland, England and Ireland and should be arriving over Broughton at 3.00pm.

    Should be worth seeing! bounce

Took a ride down to Broughton this afternoon to see the new Airbus fly over the airstrip and was pleasantly surprised.

When I arrived, Tony Hodgson was performing a display in the Spitfire. The wing walkers and Stearmans from the Guilot display team were next. Also 4 yaks, 3 Jet Provost, a Mustang and a flypast by the Red Arrows. The Vulcan then arrived and performed a six minute display and left with a climbout on full reheat.

The Airbus arrived half an hour late and completed 2 circuits of the field before performing a landing approach and then climbed out from about 200 feet. I didn't expect to see an Airshow!! Very Happy
