I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Rhyl IMAC
Rhyl IMAC comp fast approaching (Sunday 19th July) and thanks to the wonderful weather have done little/no practice since the last round up in York that said this afternoon looks promising I'm full of cold or is it swine flu got this uncontrolable desire to get my nose in the trough As far as I know weather permitting several of the guys are coming down on the Saturday for some off the peg flying
Re: Rhyl IMAC
Lots of people got some bug or other at the moment, me included . I'll miss Saturday, going to Cosford. Hope to come and have a look see on Sunday. Best of luck.

Re: Rhyl IMAC
Thanks Allan, it's a shame it clashes with Cosford, some of the IMAC guys are coming from there on Sat afternoon and camping in Rhuddlan
Re: Rhyl IMAC
Fingers crossed for the weather that week end. Not sure if I'll be at the field or Cosford on the Saturday but I'll be at the field on the Sunday for sure.

Re: Rhyl IMAC
It went as well as we could hoped for really, bad weather forecast leading up to events always cost you entries but it all went pretty well. A big thanks to all the guys who helped out John Dean popped in for a quick visit and got roped into a session of scribing for one of the judges. Dave Sargent was busy cheffing on the BBQ and also was photographer of the day and Chairman Andy Sayle stepped up to the plate and presented the trophies. Also big thanks to Rich who served as joint CD with me for the comp

Thought it was you with your canopy blown off
Re: Rhyl IMAC
Some more pics
The first is of a very lucky (notice the smile) Brian after retrieving his model from the hedge after a premature engine cut on the Saturday. The only damage was fixed with tape ready for Sunday.
A great day was had by all despite the weather, if you didnt come you missed out big time

Re: Rhyl IMAC
Come on Dave it's out in the public domain (think BB leaked it ) it was'nt an engine cut the pilot was so elated after flying two good practice schedules in the wind that he/I inadvertantly switched the ignition off instead of going to idle down dumb arse or whatDavid Sargent wrote:Some more pics
