I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Re: New Field info and Ammended club Rules
All pilots must observe the established flight line and must stand on the road or pits side of the
strip, dependant on wind direction. A model should not be allowed to overfly the A547 or St
Asaph Avenue. The area between the strip and the road is considered to be “DEAD AIRSPACE”.
Models must not be flown towards the road at low altitude. Pilots must agree between each
other on the day with regard to the landing direction. All pilots must clearly & loudly call landing
and the direction of the landing. The pilot is responsible for ensuring alarm is raised if plane is lost
during flight.
I hate rules as most of us do (we only fly toy planes) BUT
Bit of a difference in the Dead airspace in in pic in that it shows that we can fly towards both Roads.
Also can we amend the wording about calling landing to include taking off and warning of being on the Strip
Sorry Roy

Not a problem Roy. The diagram was intended to be a bit of a visual guide as an aid to the wording in the safety code (items 5 and 6), rather than an absolute exact area of the dead airspace/no fly zone. Flying towards the roads is fine. Over flying of the roads shouldn't happen if at all possible (although it is recognised that sometimes it is unavoidable). Perhaps the addition of a slightly better quality map to the safety code would be a good idea to help minimise confusion. I'll try and sharpen up my MS Paint skills a bit, and a better job than the current one I did (in a rush at lunchtime by the way!).
The calls for taking off, and on the strip are a good addition though, I'll add that now.]
Thanks for the feedback, it's always good to get some feedback on stuff like this. Continuous improvement and all that
Cheers
Andy
