I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Winter Club nights.
Hi folks.
October marks the move back indoors for the club nights. We have the last of club competition series events planned for the October club night, and then the AGM for the November one.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to what you like to have going on at the club nights? Do you want to help organise something, or do a presentation or talk? Maybe even a show and tell about a model that you have?
Suggestions would be welcome!
Cheers
Andy.

I could bring along one of the gliders that has the sound generator module and 3axis stabilizer - just for a demo and very brief and informal presentation.
Any interest?

Maybe move from the pub to somewhere where flying can take place? Kill two birds with one stone?

Re: Winter Club nights.
I'm all in favour of the indoor but we do need somewhere for the first Thursday monthly meeting to take place without flying as this would distract away from the meeting
Re: Winter Club nights.
I think the monthly meet should be separate from a flying meet too. If the monthly meet is somewhere big enough to chuck a couple of paper planes about, all the better, but the key thing is for us to have exclusive use. This is for a different thread though.
I'm more interested in some ideas for things to be happening on the official club night. Tim's kindly offered to bring his sound system in, and that's about it. Should we assume that everyone is okay with just chatting in the Pub?
Or do people want to hear guests coming to do talks, presentations, and bringing posh models for us to have a look at? Do people want to see a shed load of aerial photos? It's up to everyone in the club. If we (i.e. the people organising the meets) don't have any suggestions, or offers of doing something, then we will either not organise anything, or organise something that we are interested in doing.
And if that's me doing the organising, then be worried!

Agreed. I would hope that other ideas will be forthcoming, albeit if they only entail similar things to last year - guest speakers, film night etc.

Me too. I'm quite happy to bring in the AP stuff to show and tell, and show some of the short and footage I've been working on this year. I was hoping for more suggestions though really, and maybe even some offers of organising things? Anyway, people may not have read this yet, so I'll give it time...

Castle pub Rhuddlan tonight from 7.30ish. A new venue has been found going forward so this could be our last visit to the castle.
