I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Thursday 1st September club night
Hi folks.
Anyone got any preference as to what event we do on Thursday? Egg drop, or all up last down challenge?

Re: Thursday 1st September club night
Hi Christopher. We meet at our flying site on the Abergele Straights, just about here:
https://goo.gl/maps/3st9ec3yVM62
If you come down the A547 from Rhuddlan, the entrance to our field is about 1 mile on the right from the Roundabout by KFC. Feel free to pop down and have a chat!
We will be doing the all up last down challenge tomorrow night. The rules are simple. We shall have a mass launch at about 6.30pm. Anything can be flown, and the longest in the air, wins the most points. Bonus points for landing on the strip, and bonus points for the most entertaining flights!

The weather may be a bit iffy for tonight. So long as the rain holds off, the comp shall continue regardless!

Re: Thursday 1st September club night
September Club night comp results, just in from the adjudication committee. The comp was all up last down, and saw some excellent banter, and some not so excellent flying. The one minute launch window worked a treat.
So the results are:
You may be wondering how Zaid managed to come both third, and last. His first flight was so short, the 1 minute launch window was still open, so he launched again....
For info, Tim's flight was approximately 1 hour and 28 minutes according to the official timer. And only about 7 seconds separated his flight, and my second place flight. Ace, and really not at all bad considering the incredibly gusty and changeable conditions!
Andy
So the results are:
- |Tim M. Electric walrus glider thing. Good Tactics, and hovering bonus. 15 points.
- Andy S. Electric Mini Talon thing. use of FPV bonus deduction. 10 points.
- Zaid. Overly complicated Electric Bixler. Most number of "the battery is dead, oh no its not" moments bonus. 16 points.
- Allan P. Diesel, er, thing. Best sounds like a fart engine noise bonus. 8 points
- Sib. Foamy electric acrowot. Unintentional aerobatics bonus.7 points
- Rich (not badham). Electric funcub. Smoothest flight bonus. 7 points
- Andy K. Electric EFX. Fastest flight, and most aerobatic flight bonus. 9 points
- Zaid. Overly Complicated Electric Bixler. Shortest flight ever bonus. - (yes minus) 7 points.
- Rich badham. Gas Barbeque. Onion prep bonus. 6 points.
- everyone else who turned up to watch, 3 points.
