I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Skelmersdale Model Flying Club
Skelmersdale MFC have there anual open day next month, great club in the Northwest with some fantasic facilities including there new dedicated FPV racing track,
Anyone intrested in going for a days flying the open day is Sunday 4th September
Details from the club
Now in its 10th year, the 2016 aerobatics open day is not to be missed!
The recently extended main flightline is now suitable for up to 50% scale aerobats and jets.
The second flight line will be dedicated to FPV multicopter flying, including a racing track!
All levels of pilots are welcome, all we ask is that you have BMFA / LMA / SAA insurance and hold a minimum of an A certificate (or equivalent).
Many of the top UK aerobatic pilots will be in attendance. This is a unique opportunity to get up close and personal to the very best pilots and their world class competition level models.
There's no charge to either pilots or spectators.
The host site offers first class modelling facilities. A large car park with fully paved and benched pitting areas and spectator benches – bring the entire family to enjoy this excellent day!
A food van will be onsite for the majority of the day.

that's a crackin looking club. facilities look good and fpv course looks like a good crack
