I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Thursday comp night and BBQ
What's the plan for this Thursday, a comp?
I'll sort a BBQ if Tim can bring it along

Re: Thursday comp night and BBQ
The next official club Comp is the 1st Thursday in July. I'm sure we can do an informal comp. We might need a stand in official official though, I'm unlikely to be there before 8.30pm tomorrow...

Re: Thursday comp night and BBQ
Nice to see Chris H with his Phantom 4 camera drone along with Charlie Cornes making a rare visit he again had a Phantom 4 camera drone
They are magnificent machines
Jem blasting his helicopters shame really no crashes, his auto gyro battling against rather blustery conditions, Tim has stepped up the BBQ etiquete with fresh foil roasted salmon on a bed of salad serving in a Tupperware container.
Mike Steed left early because his tea was ready (I think) no other excuse
Mark really did sit on his bottom all night along with many others.
Andy Kaz had the nod from his missus so had to leave early (again) to pick her up from work
Ray had a telling off from Jem for presenting a nose heavy aircraft
Chris H had a right mob with him but again left early.
Pete Squire sulking for no reason, Pete Carrigan waiting for a hip replacement, Roy just about beat Mark for sitting around all night even though he cut the onions, and me doing my best to avoid flying by cooking the grub.
All in all a great night
Cheers All

Re: Thursday comp night and BBQ
Yes, enjoyed the night, cheers Rich et al.
Managed a few flights on the Walrus and the EFX Racer which coped rather well with the windy conditions. The salmon was lovely, and it should be on the BBQ menu every time I reckon.
Nice to see the barby had a good clean recently.....

So will there be any one turning up today, or is it to windy? Should be down later if it drops.

I'll be there after 7pm ish, unless it is chucking it down with rain. It's not that windy at the moment in St Asaph, probably about 10-15mph tops...
