Engine use/feedback/problems etc.

There are three motors I have an interest in and I would be interested if any one has owned/run/used one of the following and can let me know of thier experiences:-
1/ CRRC 26i
2/ CRRC 40i (self assembly engine kit)
3/ DL 50

ive got a crrc 45 alan and its a goodun. they seem to be well liked on a lot of the forums too. mines on a 22x8 and seems very happy.

Thanks for the info but since I posted back at the end of November I did my own extensive searches on the forums. The DL 50 (latest type: silver/yellow coloured main shaft, thicker mounting lugs, new turned mounting stand-offs, carb pressure tap on fibre reed block and MK 11 ignition) came out tops IMO. Although, the JC Engines Area 51 unit looks quite good but a little heavier. So I now have the engine and the plane (CMPro Edge 540 T) and other items to obtain before I get started on this project later in the year (other things to do first). But, bye the bye, what plane have you got the '45' in? How would you rate its performance and as this will be my first petrol plane what is the fuel consumption like and what do you think I can expect from the DL 50 (I know it depends on how much welly I give it). As to the other engines I was, and still am, interested in namely the self assembly '40' if anybody has any info.

Hi Alan, I to have a CRRC 26 in a Pilatus Porter which I have yet to run, but from what I have read elswhere on the net by enlarge they seem to be a reasonable motor.
