I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

RDMFC Aerotow 2015
Morning all,
I thought it was about time to start building up the RDMFC Aerotow event this year. It's running on the 19th July, so just a week and a bit away!
Who is planning on attending, and what are you bringing?
Cheers
Andy

The long range weather forecast is looking promising, sunny with a bit of wind, and the chance of a very light shower in the morning. It should be good!

Re: RDMFC Aerotow 2015
I don't think we have a club gazebo, we've relied on people bringing one with them. I havent got one, unless you don't mind a minature one designed for a Few three year olds.
With the BBQ stuff, it might be best to wait and see how many turn up. I'll do a run to sainsbury's to pick food up when we have an idea of numbers.
We are meeting at the Whistlestop at 8 am for breakfast if anyone fancies it too.
Cheers!

Ok - unless the rest of the committee object I have ordered one (£40) and will collect from argos on the way over tomorrow - store not open until 10 30 so c u all around 11 30 or so.
Will be a good focalpoint as well as field kitchen and rain / sun shelter.

Re: RDMFC Aerotow 2015
Those who turned up had a great day - little / medium leccy tugs pulled up a fair few glider things ( cheers Andy S and Mark B ), then Mel arrived and made the day even better with his X sized petrol powered Wotty. This easily hauled up Jems ASW 24, and my DG1000 and even the somewhat porky Grunau Baby. Jem and I shared tug duty on the wottty, Andy S had fun playing with rocket powered fun jets and smoke canisters, and barnesyboy joined in with the Cath, and took some good pics and onboard video. Great day and thanks to all those who participated - next year will be the biggest and best one to date.

Re: RDMFC Aerotow 2015
Im still knackard now started the day at 0755 in the cafe and got home at 2032, great Day, best tow of the day was Mel towing Andys Fun jet round the field for a good 10 mins great stuff. Mel then also proved his skills by towing me up after Jem failed 6 times to get me in the air. Well done Mel.
My `Cath towed Tims Discus up a few times but was showing its lack of power in the windier conditions, Tim and Jem did a great job on the Wot4xl keeping things in the air for most of the afternoon. Andys Minimag did the bulk of the mornings work towing Weasels and the like around.
Thanks to all the members that flew or visited.
My pics are on the club facebook site and I will post the vids on there too as I work my way through them but for now you can have these.

Aye, no apologies needed. You did miss a cracking day though. Nice and sunny for most of the day. Enough to give me a rather red face! The breeze made for easy tugging too.
Next year, I think we should go all out for a big event. An all weekender type thing...
