I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

I thought it was a bit steep to begin with, but on reflection, if the camera is a decent one, you have a platform that can lift a 4k imaging device on a full 3 axis gimbal, and comes ready to fly, with a full HD video downling and also has some funky position sensing kit onboard too.
To get that in another format (assuming the video quality is better than a gopro) you would be looking at a fair bit more cash for existing solutions on the market.....
That said, it's DJI. I will put money on the first releases to need a shedload of software updates to work properly. It happened with the Naza, the Wookong, the A2, Lightbridge, S800, zenmuse gimbals etc etc....
