I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Re: BBQ tonight
I wish I was as professional as you. Then I wouldn't make stupid mistakes like I did this morning!
It was surprising how high the rotor/prop combo went on it's own....

Just got back home. Epic drive consisting of nearly 400 miles, and 14 hours. Anyone still at the field?!

If it's the one Pete had, I think it is an sj4000 (also badged as the turnigy action camera). Quite good for the money!
If you are getting one, you will need a set of plates for the f450 that work better than the dji ones. Special club member discount! Ha ha. Shout if you need any advice on the build. Or bring it with you the St asaph fayre on Sunday, and build it there! I'll have all the tools needed there!

Re: BBQ tonight
you need to design ones with the dist. board combined it's a ball ache when you forget you need an additional feed for something
Re: BBQ tonight
The price of getting plates made as pcb's is just insane though. I've looked into it a couple of times, and had quotes from manufacturers both here and abroad. As a guide, it would add about 15 quid to the cost of a set of 330lf plates turning it into a 45 quid set of plates. That puts a lot of people off.
If I was getting hundreds made at a time, it's a different story....
Using a seperate distribution board works quite well, HK do a mini one that is good for the 330LF, and the one from quadcopters.co.uk is good for the 450MF.. The frames have mounting holes to suit in them...

Not good. Is that with the new flight controller etc? What changes did you make since the last hiccups?

Re: BBQ tonight
No the old FC, I took all the kit out then reinstalled it, flew it 1st club night in August all went really well no problems at all then flew it again last night the flight was good until just about to land, in GPS mode let it sit there for about a minute it was fine, just about to get my thumbs back on the sticks & it glitched violently forward & right, I landed & threw it back in the van sulking
Re: BBQ tonight
That's really odd.
I would be tempted to strip it back to the bare minimum, ie fc and rx, escs and motors, and try again. Prove that works before adding back all the other stuff like gimbal, vtx, camera, osd etc.
I would expect the cause of glitch like that to either be a duff esc, a duff flight controller, or the rx doing something weird...
