I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Re: The End of the BMFA NATS ?
I doubt it'll be the end of the Nats but it's screwed a lot of other events and the local club with apparently so little warning. IMAC had a new pilots training event planned there for next weekend they're busy scrabbling round for another venue as we speak but a lot of the lads have already booked hotels/ camping so there's going to be a lot of pissed off people
Re: The End of the BMFA NATS ?
The wording "This ruling effects all users" seems wrong to me.
If it is really valid, it might be more believable if it said "affects all users" especially if it is apparently coming from the BMFA office.
They don't usually make errors like this when making important announcements from on high.
Well at least it seems still ok for 2014.
But it seems true, I just checked the BMFA page.
Oh dear..............

Re: The End of the BMFA NATS ?
I found on the net about Grantham:-
The club secretary has had a courteous letter/email. Basically, through no fault of ours, the Commandant of Cranwell has pulled the plug because of increased training requirement at the weekends, coupled with temporary use of the airfield by the gliding club whilst it's hangar back at Cranwell is being repaired, and tight security resources. Should casual use of Barkston become available in the future, we will be informed. I'm not holding my breath.
