I'll tell John McGrory about that.
John. now in his 90's and living in Abergele, was a Lancaster Training Pilot during the war based at Scampton traning the Dambuster pilots. In '42 he was piloting bombers over Germany.
Later he became Station Commander at RAF Wittering and was a Harrier training pilot.

A reply from John McG.....

Hi Paul,
Many thanks for the Lanc. info, got £3-5K to spare??
£19K total per Flip is a bit more than a Tiger on Southport Sands at 5 Bob a time.
although they used to squeeze a couple on thinnies into the cockpit,  two jammed in together
were less likely to fall out!!
Cheers   John.
