I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

Godalming Empty Godalming

Post by Guest 2014-01-27, 16:14

Planning a trip to Godalming in Surrey next month to visit youngest daughter, Dr O (otherwise known as Dr Kathryn Ord.)
I  well remembered the amazing flying done in Control line by the teams from Godalming over the last 50 years or so. at the Nationals and other events
So I thought I would  look up on the 'net and find out if they are still active.
The club has recently lost the flying site to blue butterflies.
The Tarmac  flying circles, used since 1960 have been removed by the council and returned to heathland.
I just put in "control line" and "Godalming" and up came the message

Butterflies put model plane hopes under threat

The club are devastated by the news and desperately looking for alternative venues.

Any suggestions ????
