I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Naza failsafe setup
When setting up the failsafe in the Tx how much throttle percentage does it need?
I've sussed out setting up the return to home switch that's overrides the 3 position switch.
Only other thing, after setting up ch3(throttle) and ch7 what happens to the remaining Channels are they left in hold? or left alone?
Andy may have told me all of this but I've forgotten!

Re: Naza failsafe setup
Pretty sure when failsafe is activated by switch or loss of signal, naza take control of all outputs, you tube has lots of vids on futaba/naza setups
Re: Naza failsafe setup
ALright Peter, Sorry, I didn't get chance to go over it all with you yesterday. Rich has got it bang on though
Basically, the only channel you need to worry about the failsafe position (i.e. if teh rf link is lost type failsafe, not the one where you flip a switch), is the one that controls the flight mode. In your case this was channel 7. This HAS to go to a set position that is shown as "fail-safe" in the Assistant software. All the other channels are then ignored, so can be set to whatever you want. I personally would set everything to 50% (mid stick position), so when exiting failsafe (regaining the rf link), there are no jumps in the throttle/ail etc. I know it goes against everything you are taught to begin with, but don't set the throttle failsafe position to 0, as this may cause a shutdown of the motors in flight. unless you have a LOT of altitude, that is an instant recipe for a tumble and a crash. Ask me how I know!
Hope that helps! I'm going to be at the field on thursday if you want to bring it for another test. I'll bring my laptop too, so if anything needs changing/setting up there, we can do it then.
Cheers

Thanks Andy and Rich, got it sorted now.
I had a look on youtube and found a few futaba setup videos, was easy!
LEDs are wired up and the quad is ready
