I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

Hurricane Empty Hurricane

Post by Allan Patrick 2013-07-29, 17:07

Some pictures of my new and presently unflown Hurricane. The model is scratch built from a set of free plans and has taken forever! In the actual Hurrie the wings, front fuselage, fin and tailplane are metal, the rest inc control surfaces are fabric covered. I've tried to replicate some of this by using Solartex for the fabric and brown paper for the metal parts. Oleos are fully sprung and scratch built with electric retracts. Engine is a Saito 4st 115. it has three sets of batteries - RC, glowdriver & retract. Built for robustness rather than out and out scale
