I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Llanfair TH Villiage Fete Flying
We’ve been approached to attend Llanfair TH Village Fete Saturday 27th July (next Saturday)
We’d like as many members as possible to attend; the organisers would like us there at about 1130 until approx 1530 we will have a smallish field to ourselves to fly with a slot for the general public to watch at approx 1300.
From a flying perspective the site is perfect for helicopters, quad copters, electric gliders, 3D type electric aircraft & 30cc power planes at a push.
We would also like a static display whereby some of the larger planes could be displayed & someone to give live commentary to the attending public via a PA system.
Please reply to this topic ASAP
This is another way to promote RDMFC & our hobby in a safe & enjoyable manner.
We can be back on our own site by 1600 as it cools down for an evening’s flying.

Re: Llanfair TH Villiage Fete Flying
I went with Rich to check the site today, I reckon we can put on a good show, as said I reckon the 50cc and above would be a struggle there but the site is fine for anything smaller.
Would be great to have lots of models on display, joe public will be behind a barrier so no danger for models and its only a couple of hours.
I will be there

Nice one, With that timing, I should be able to make most of it.
I'll bring the FPV quad(s), and I'll try and string together some sort of display to show a live picture. Would it be alright for the Graphite to ge tin and out of?

I may regret asking this question, due to the answer perhaps being obvious, but where is it being held?

Into Llanfair over little bridge on the right immediately after bridge
Re: Llanfair TH Villiage Fete Flying
Ill do my best to attend, with the leccy glider, perhaps the holy-cow, and of course...the EPP Eagle.
Would any of my EDFs be suitable? I could bring the sloper version of my new BAE Hawk for static?
Would it be any use bringing the buddy gear for perhaps some eager watchers to try their hand on the Electraglide?

Re: Llanfair TH Villiage Fete Flying
Tim in reply to you and others that have asked.
The site is sutible for flying but I would not like to say "Yes you can fly that fine" as its down to your own choice.
It is pretty tight and depending on the wind direction it may scupper us completely, if conditions are the same as our recci day they we should be ok as there's a nice big gap to fly through but there are trees to 3 sides of the "flying field".
As I say don't let this put you off, Im going to fly my 78" extra.
Should be a good day no matter what we get up if the weather holds and the end of the day its a PR exercise

Re: Llanfair TH Villiage Fete Flying
Are we sorted for a couple of gazebo type things? I've got a little monitor and some bits and pieces I want to try and keep dry, whilst it being on show to people? I already have a table or tripod to mount stuff to, just need something to keep the rain off, should it arrive.

Re: Llanfair TH Villiage Fete Flying
Will there be any tables available to display our models on or just on the ground?
