I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Be there or be square
The IMAC boys have arrived at the field and have been practicing ready for the weekends comp. Just before I left the field Matt Poots was flying his freestyle mount the soon to be released Hangar 9 composite Yak 54. He put on a very polished performance and one you should all see at least once over the two days
Re: Be there or be square
Yeah Matt was on fire this evening, gutted he's nailed the Joe Smith Pop tops as I was trying them last night and just can't get it right

Re: Be there or be square
A very nice leccy powered Yak 55M which was competing over the weekend gave a very good account of itself
Re: Be there or be square
Matt Poots won the unlimited schedule flying with his usual panache and almost carried off his usual double by taking the freestyle as well sadly as his dad Trevor put it "he ran out of talent" and finished with a spinning pancake landing in the long grass with his Sukhoi and thus forfeited his chances of the double, the damage was not too bad
Re: Be there or be square
Another one I personally was drewling over was Phil Hoyle's Hangar 9 100cc Extra
Smoke restored !
The Dorgans got there smoke system working for the Sunday freestyle having had a malfunction on Saturday and both senior and junior put it to good use

Nice Pics Brian.
Some awsome flying going on over the weekend, so for all the club members that could not be arssed to pop down, there loss. Those that did enjoyed the best aerobatic planes and pilots the UK has to offer and had a great time.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening flying was enjoyed by club members too which was nice to see and be part off.
Im sunburnt to hell and learned lots again, and still gutted I wasn't taking part. Great weekend. Well done to Rich for CD`ing a great comp.

I "couldnt be arsed" to turn up as my weekend was occupied with some very very important family stuff.

Well, yes, I too would have loved to turn up. I would have much preferred to have a pleasant weekend sitting around getting sunburnt than doing the stuff I had to do. In fact I did everything I could to find time to make it over

Wasnt pointing the finger at anyone Tim, Gary and Allan,
Of course some will have reasons but im damm sure some members will have sat in there house/garden moaning about not being able to fly.
Just as normal found myself very disappointed at the turn out

Sometimes the way things are said can be more abrasive than the content, you never know one day I may not be "arsed" to cut the grass

You should really make a move sooner rather than later Gary, your batteries etc will have black wire from lack of use, the switch for the transmitter is usually silver in colour
