I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

Are you telling me that you would walk through a corn field with a blow torch No A turbine is a flying blow torch bom

There is no club rule about flying turbines and as of recently I was the only club member to fly one. I can just hear the uproar if I had landed in the corn and the field went up in flames, hence my own self-imposed stop fly when the corn is combustable, thinking of the club interests sunny But then not a problem if you don't come down in it. Many turbines models when they hit the ground catch fire, where as electric and petrol generally don't, so keeping it in perspective the risk issue is considerably greater when you move onto turbine flying, after all they are a minature version of the full size and don't forget your Air Navigation Order about damage to property cyclops

One needs to look both ways when crossing the road affraid

Edit: For the purpose of clarity, the common term of "corn" refers to Wheat and Barley crops grown next to the flying field.
