I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Second shot is yeah,(reg no is on on dash mind)
Phil Burgess Owner and pilot is a true gent, he was happy to talk and show me round the aircraft and left me with her to take a raft of photos, Ive never seen a DR107 first hand before and was very impressed, most aerobatic aircraft are small but this is tiny and flew alot faster than the other aero thoroughbreds, but presented very well in Phils hands.

Re: sleap airfield
You didnt get the first pic
Anyway, great day out very laid back and low key, The judges were sat in the viewing enclosure with joe public and constant flying from about 10am, after we all filled but with a brekkie in the tower cafe!
What was interesting is it wasn't a closed airfield, the local fliers seemed to carry on as normal taking off and landing in-between rounds so lots of wearied and wonderful aircraft were about all day,
Some of the comp plane

Re: sleap airfield
Great pics mark I missed a good day out. sadly I had to work in the morning so couldnt get there.
as you say its a low key small airfield hell of a friendly and very relaxed atmosphere and lots of activity.
There was a hunter jet based there some time ago but after a few hairy take offs and landings the runway was a bit short!!! Its now based elsewhere
