I envy you Roy with that
Looks a fascinating adventure to get into.

Hex and Tri Copter seen not far from here in Dec
The Hex has 3 clockwise and 3 anticlockwise motors
The Tri has two fixed motors, one cw and 1 acw and one more but tilted +/- by "Rudder" servo.

The Hex, particularly, produces stormy day conditions in their hall and mere mortals flying depron and tissue stuff fly at there peril !!!!.

Roy,
When done and tested perhaps you may be interested in a bit of FPV as these craft are favoured for this activity.
FPV Back Pack forum
FPV Back Pack YouTube
He's aiming for the airbourne and ground station costs to be about US$100. Only problem is the Fatshark gogs cost over £200.

Don't want to Hi-Jack this thread so may start a new FPV one

I really fancy the FPV Allan so I can use it for glider towing, but not as much as Mark Barnes does. I think he's looking at getting all the kit soon, not sure what type though.
