I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

That's down to personal choice, there are lots of pilots hovering model's with the cog just at the rear position, it's a balance between the model being flyable or unstable for normal flight.
If Sam is looking to start hovering then I would recommend getting a model like the Weston UK Cougar or my high wing funfly, Leigh is currently using.
Re: Tuesday 14 th april
the other option would be somthing profile fuz like the PA Rich flies or the EPP Flash that I have the flash is by far the easiest plane ive hovered, Sam is welcolme to ago if i have it at the feild and the beauty of EPP is its tough as old boots and normal cyno will fix I also know were there is an almost new one full set up for sale for £100 (NFJ of the delyn club),
One bit of advise i have for learning to hover is get it down low (eaiser said than done i grant you) but i found when learning i was reacting to slow when the plane was up high, get it down low and you will react much quicker and you can see exactly what the plane is doing, also if you are low and somthing gose wrong you have such little airspeed you dont tend to hit the floor hard!
Also very few planes will hover perfectly vertical its a case of balancing the plane into what wind you have, and its also more often than not a case of less is more as far as movment it consered, you need lots of ele to get it in but once there you will use very little movement to keep it in unless u get proper out of shape
