I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Happy Boy
Ive been using my time off wisely,
Bought a 750w PC PSU this afternoon for 35 quid, just spent an hour mod'ing it and I now have a nice new 12v desktop power supply to sun my chargers off, first time ive made on and well happy and pleased how easy it was. Just need a couple of panel mount banana plugs to finish it of nicely
Great success

Check the output voltage at big loads, they sometimes.get a bit wibbley when.you try to pull many amps from them. Also, che k the maximum rating on the 12v line, the 750watts rating is usually for all the outputs together, 5v, 3v and 12v etc.
I've always said PC power supplys make great bench psus though, and at this rate, you'll be an electronic genius in no time!

Re: Happy Boy
Just the ticket! The last one I converted was all over the place when I tried to hook three chargers running at 8 amps each to it. Adding a car brake light bulb to the 5v output sorted it out though. It turns out on the cheaper PSUs, the 12v line is regulated by a load on the 5v line. Without that, the voltage on the 12v line fluctuates a lot. I only bought a 4 quid ebay special PSU though, so I guess you gets what you pays for!
