I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Mystery ESC
Right chaps, heres another one for you...........
Is there any way of finding out the size (Amp) of a mystery, unmarked ESC without melting it?
New motors (see Andy and Tim - I do know what im talking about really! ), props and Watt meter has arrived safely, but would like to know the size of the mystery ESC on this foamie before I start sorting out the power train.
I can replace it easily enough with a known size one, but would just like to know how big this mystery one is!
Cheers for your help again!

Re: Mystery ESC
Umm, not easily. You could perhaps look up the markings on the Fets, and dig out their datasheets to get their design spec and ratings. The actual rating will depend on a number of things though, like switching rate, gate capacitance, drive voltage/current specs and a number of other things.
The best thing to do is to post a picture of it, and see if anyone recognises it. Do you know where it came from originally?

Re: Mystery ESC
The physical size of the thing, and the cabling can give a clue - but only a clue, and again, we need a picture.

Here's a picture Tim it's one Brian Jone's sent to me, it's the new wiper system introduced by Peugeot, the blades are a little long and apparently the washer system's a little iffy

Re: Mystery ESC
I would think so Gary might need short blades for yours, There's a neat trick to it, after you've used the screenwasher you can blow dry the screen
Re: Mystery ESC
Dont tell us Bri - you could also fit Heather mills to the back!

I've just had alook at a Castle Creations Phoenix 10, and it looks remarkably similar to that too. I reckon the GC version, could well be a copy
