I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

I still cant believe that there is no club nearer for you Gary - obviously, we are very happy to have you on board, but it just seems unlikely that we are closest.

Used to be a good power club in or near Congleton just over the Cheshire border from S.O.T. unless that too has gone down the pan. Not trying to put you off from joining us Gary but a 140ml round trip every time you want to fly I would find a little off putting personally.

Suns starting to break through, if Gary wants to join the best club in North Wales, I'll have his money

Re: Todays Meet
Hi guys, a weather updated from out of the office window in St Asaph looking over towards the fueld. The sun is out, the wind is at about 10mph, and the cloud cover is about 5/8 cumulus with a small amount of altostratus visiblke in some of the clear patches....

Re: Todays Meet
Gary,
Just to say there is an Aerotow event at Rhyl field on Sunday 14th August, so not much chance of flying on the Sunday unless you have a glider with a tow release, although you are more than welcome to attend Saturday to fly.

Re: Todays Meet
You are more than welcome to come across for the sunday too, if the weather is decent there is usually a good turnout and some really nice models to see flying, last year I spent a large portion of the day just watching instead of flying!

Oh, and a weather update. Wind is currently at about 10-12mph WSW, cloud cover is about 5/8 cumulus. Nice and warm outside too....

Just in from the orme - turned out to be superb sloping conditions, with bright dry blue skies, and 28MPH westerly bang on the main slope.
