I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Tuesday 28th
A fair few down the field yesterday, was a little breezy as seems usual these days. Mike Steed had a deadstick in a lousy position with his Yak and had to land out with slight damage to his undercart and engine box. We had a visit from the "Ancient Mariner" on his way home to Anglesey Nice to see you Marty to see you nice enjoy your leave.

The Rime of the Ancyent Marinere. That's one sinister, and weird poem I tells ya. What's his chops Coleridge must have been eating a fair few banana skins when he wrote that!

Re: Tuesday 28th
Stripped the Yak down to survey the damage and not too bad!! The undercarriage plate is OK and the undercarriage itself only needs bending back into shape. Main damage is to the bulkhead and that only needs glueing back in. On the whole, quite lucky. Should be back in the air by the weekend.
