I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

the second flight yesterday with my SE5a on take off at about 30ft the engine cut out.Had to land in the rough grass, not to much damage, already repaired. But the reason, the Clunk in the tank had doubled back and with less than a full tank of fuel it sucked in air .Lesson ,even though did a full revs chk on level perhaps should do a chk with plane at 45 degrees before every flight especially if it tips on its nose for some reason.Or put some Brass tube in the clunk tubing so it can't flick back. The SE5a tipped on its nose while taxi-ing out.

I'm just trying to picture your description John.If I'm reading it right did it double back into a front corner and get stuck there?
If it did I don't know if this will help but I just started using Hayes clunk line and had Zaide test it.I use it as well but he's probably been using it more.
It's a very thin wall and very flexible clunk line that is very hard to kink,if you know what I mean.
When you use a heavy clunk with this it'll follow gravity wherever it goes.
Not sure if it'll solve your problem as plane tanks look a bit different to heli's but I can cut a piece for you if you like.

Danny.
