I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Cant see yer hand in front of ya here for low cloud and drizzle - sure hope it improves, as it makes the burger buns soggy

Its traditional for new club members to man the BBQ for the first six months of the season so bring your apron and chefs hat!

Its nice and fine in St Aspah as well. The trees outside my office window are hardly moving, it is a little overcast, but not raining. Visibility is probably about 15km or so
And Barnes, the only way you are going to get a 29 min flight with the Bonary, is if I chuck it for you.....

Good night !!
We had an excellent night, even the weather played ball with a lovely sunny evening after a rather grim afternoon. Big thanks to Rich for the BBQ, I think everyone had a reasonable session with no undue carnage I got some good photos but I shot them as RAW files by mistake (thought the camera was shooting slow bursts) which results in massive files that need a fair bit of processing to post on the forum. For those of you whose models I didn't get pictures of I apologize but it was so nice I was pretty busy flying myself. Here's one of Jem's Double Vision, I'll process and post some more tomorrow, I'm too knackered now
Re: First BBQ of the season
Awsome night had a right laff, big thanks to Rich for a very impressive BBQ well done mate.
Nice to see so many members out, and I must say a big welcolme to John having his first flights as a RDMFC member
Just got in having my final flight @ 10.20pm get it. Right time to finish the Rav

Yup, great session -and my thanks to the chef too - excellent
All three new models maidened without much drama - the new PC9 has now notched up two flights - a 100% increase on its predecessor
Pity JB left before the weather came good, but here's a few from his camera before his permit expired.
