I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

Welding stainless steel?

I've designed a new launchpad for some of this years little (and not so little!) Rockets, and to save it from corrosion, exhaust goop build up and general paint chips and stuff, It would be nice to get it made from Stainless steel. It is mostly square/round tube, with a fairly thin wall thickness (about 1-2.5 mm or so).

Cheers Allan, I didn't know about those guys, but I'll make a note of them for future reference.

Rich, do you fancy doing a bit of welding for me then? Beer tokens or CAD work is the payment Smile I've got to order some material, cut it to size etc first, so it will be a little while yet...

Cheers

Andy, fyi, they will supply material and cut to size as well. Generally from stock if its reasonably run of the mill

Used to be a welding course taught at school here but dont think its run anymore. Can have a chat with the DT fella's if you like to see if we still have the kit and if they would be willing to do me a favour?
