I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Indoor Deeside
Craig from Delyn MFC Has booked Deeside arena for 2 hours on the 8th March from 5.30 till 7.30 if anyone is interested.
The more people turn up the cheaper it will be
Normaly only 5-6 people turn up and theres a huge area to play with

Re: Indoor Deeside
Well Mark, Zaid and myself went to the big arena with a selection of Heli's to play with.
But all was not well
First up Mark with the Blade 400 in a scale body, which he has been itching to try for several weeks. Set the model down for the first hover model shows no sign of going anywhere, into the radio for a few tweaks of the pitch and we have another go,only to head the motor revving and the blades going very slow. A quick look over the model and the problem is the new motor and the pinion is slipping. Mark's day is over.
Next to go is Zaid with a T-rex 450z this has flown before but was cutting out on the speed controller dew to over heating, so now with a new controller he's ready for another go.Plugs in the lipo the radio powers up but no motor. Luckily the Overlander boys on the case and quickly diagnosis a very dry soldering joint on one of the motor leads (Don't ask Zaid to do your soldering )
Only me left now to restore some pride but alas I failed. As I spooled up my T.rex 450se and went into the hover the model wouldn't stop drifting to the left with full stick in hand it refused to return. So cut the motor and looked over the model only to find that the Swash plate had come apart.
Who said Heli's are easy?
Lucky for Zaid and myself we had two models with us so we both had a good fly around the big hall. A good ending to 2 hours of frustration.

Re: Indoor Deeside
yes a very disapointing night particuly as there was only 6 flyiers so there was plenty of air time to be had, made up in small part to taking the P*ss out of Zaidys soldering
My Hughes is now fixed with a flat put on the shaft for the grub screw,
I also had a fly of Craig Jeffery`s (Delyn Club) New Silent Angel Extreme Shokkie from Angelwing Designs, and what a cracker it was to
