I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

Looking for a car for my son (3 fears old)
I found cheap pistol style Tx in HK so that would sort controling (supplyed tx is to big, and no proportional control - sadly) , but instead upgrading the car he got from his grandpa I'd rather buy something different... (not even sure whats inside and if possible to upgrade Wink )
To use at home and in the garden (grass)
Don't want to spend a fortune for a fancy stuff Wink and must be electric of course.
Was adviced to go for 1:18 scale but can be a bit bigger...
Have you got anything laying about or seen any good offer somewere ?
p.s. I know nothing about the rc cars Rolling Eyes
Thanks
Rob

Try MAPLIN or COMET
they seem to have cheap offers but mainly plastic, electric RC cars might be worth a try.

I get all my car stuff from here,
http://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?home=1
There are lots of 18th scale cars on the market.
I've got a couple of cars for sale but they aren't really suitable for a 3 year old.
It's probably better to try one of the toy ones to begin with and then when he gets a bit older if he still likes cars then try something a bit better.

Regards.

Danny.

Thanks Peter and Danny.

was thinking of something like this here >> http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110406599251&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

As long as I can set up EPA on the throttle- I'll be happy - just to keep it rolling at the walking speed.
Problem with toys is that most of it have rubish quality - the one we have has cheap plastic rims - and tyres just comes off Sad and cos there is no proportional control - is either still or on a high speed - to quick for home use :/
I believe there is a gap on the market - here or I just look i the wrong places.

I can recommend a couple,
Associated rc18t
Team losi mini T
Also Traxxas now has a 16th scale range but they aren't cheap.
The 2 I've mentioned I've had a couple of both of them and they're great fun and awesome quality.
The Traxxas are even better but not cheap.
http://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?CategoryID=9900&SubCategoryID=990010&ManufacturerID=60&MSAttributeID[82]=8
That link is the whole 16th scale Traxxas range.
The link you posted to ebay looks pretty good at a glance but I've not seen one in the flesh so I can't comment on what its like.
It's better where possible to go with a popular brand so spares are easy to obtain.
If it's something that he may not use for long it's probably better to go for the cheaper option.

Danny.

That's why I'm looking for the radio with EPA settings- that should sort it out Smile but can't find any info on HK - appart from info that it hasn't got any EXPO in comments.
Can do it with my TX but the size of mc3010 is way to big for my Kasper Wink

Gaaaah, Danny, I've been trying to forget about the traxxas 1/16 Revo....... Damn you!

Andy

PS, the Traxxas stuff is always good, and very complete indeed. Perhaps a bit advanced for a really young 'un, but excellent none the less...

Andy check out the new official Fiesta at the bottom of the rally car page. It's a little bit tasty.
I've still got the urge for a mini Summit as well.
