I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

I thought it flew really nicely. The direct drive Mega was much nicer, compared to the rattley gearbox before. I reckon there is room for another inch on the diameter of the prop before things start getting toasty, which will release a few more watts, and increase the climb a bit more though.

I still feel the need for one of these, but. must. resist. Especially if it makes your head go orange....

I got my hands on Rich's Alex yesterday, and after some set-up issues (running out of trim and having to re set the subtrims in flight) it flew really well.

Power seems fine now peeking at 461w and 39amp on the floor gives it nearly 200w per Lb so climb outs are not a problem and as my 5 aborted landings showed its certainly a floater.

Real nice model, more vid to come!
