I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Club Night, Thursday 12th
Morning all.
It's Thursday again, It's august, and that can mean only two things. It's club night at the Rhyl field, and the weather is poo! The forecast is for it to improve throughout the day though, so all being well, the evening will be most splendid, if a little breezy. I'm heading over at about 5pm to get a few more flights in on the SU26, and I've remembered som petrol this time
Anyone else out to play?
Andy

Why is the Kitchen annoyed?
I meant to ask too, does anyone have any lead sheet knocking around? I was tempted to half inch some off the church roof, but reading the Rhyl Journal, it seems someone beat me to it.... I'[ve got some cash waiting if anyone has a few kilos of the stuff I could have...

Ah, it's the swear filter kicking in. I forgot we set it to filter out some actual swear words, instead of just changing random words.....

Yes Mr Sayle, I have also PM'ed you but you havent seem to have replyed.
haha well everything is sorted with thew cougar, just to collect Pauls magicalk bag of bits from the field box
Mum is away at a photography corse, and my dad is working till 5, so either my sisters come and drag me back home an hour later, or we find somewhere to dump them and head over, so im not to sure on whats happening.
Just checked prestatyn weather and the highest today is 28mph but its leveld out around 11-12mph so that is finnee for me
I dont mind a bit of a breeze!

No one there at 2:00. Sunny Breezy
Drove past at 4:06, still no one there. Weather Sunny, less windy but still noticeable.

Re: Club Night, Thursday 12th
Considering the weather a reasonably good turnout last night, getting close to the end of the season already and we haven't had much luck with the weather gods on Thursday evenings. Most of the usual suspects were in attendance plus some new faces and nice to see Gary Gilmour again.
Despite a fair breeze plenty of flying took place and it wasn't all the big stuff Allan Patrick flew some spirited flights with his Tiger Moth and Formosa and newcomer Pete Squire flew well.

Re: Club Night, Thursday 12th
that wasnt a crash,
It was a expertley controled fall from the sky after an epic fail of a motor mount, (the fact that the epic fail may or may not have been as a dircet result of a previous hard landing not moments earlier is by the by)
