I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

Twister Skylift Empty Twister Skylift

Post by Guest 2009-02-09, 19:12

Last Friday I took my DX 6i back to Steve Webbs with the faulty stick pot problem and got my money back, as I was not happy with the fact that Horizon were only going to replace the faulty pot. All the pots are from the same batch and who knows if and when the others may go faulty.
Anyways, while I wait for a 2.4 modul to go in my 9c, so that I can continue to play with my mCX, I picked up a Twister Skylift to entertain me. Any one had any involvement with these and can give any useful feedback. I've read some threads and it looks OK for a Spektrum Rx retro fit and after I've broken a few bits there are some upgrades available. Any info grateful recieved.

Alan

Ive not flown that particular one but have played with many a twister, they all fly realy well and have anoyed the wife many times in the house with a mates, there very stable and very forgived and ideal for the basics, If you can fly the MCX this will be no broblem just a tad more involving

Ive landed many on my head but then i am abit dim

Ah, so the friction from the landings caused the thin spots then?!

Have you got a Spektrum Module for your 9c Allan? Just wondering Smile

Thanks for the input Mark. I've only had a couple of plays with it in the house but because it is long and thin (the helicopter Rolling Eyes ) its very easy to tip it on its side, especialy when the dogs get after it. Going to cut a 1mtr * 3mm carbon fibre tube in half and atatch each half across the fusalage at the undercarriages.
Bye the bye this thing is 20 inches long with two sets of contra rotating blades which then begs the question, if I may be so bold to ask. How did you land something this large on your head, unless !!!!!!!!!!!! Laughing Laughing Laughing
