I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Re: Can you Guess what it is yet?
MOrning guys,
Yep, the ELF has flown, and very nice it is too! The first chucks took place in wind that was approximately 7.1mph (according to Danny's wind-o-meter), and it was obvious it was going to fly nice. The extreme light weight meant that the handling was a bit iffy though, flying downwind was a bit of a gamble! Luckily the wind dropped later on though, to pretty much flat calm as the sun set, and the ELF really does fly well in zero wind!
the glide speed can be quite quick, or amazingly slow. Even at a crawl, the rudder is quite sensitive. The ELF does show every tsingle little bump of air too, so catching thermals with this should be dead easy. All we need now is a hot summers day with no wind!
The only really odd thing about this model, is trying to launch it. Because of it's weight (or rather, lack of weight), it is incredibly difficult to put any effort into the launch. It is remarkably similar at trying to throw a handful of grass hard. It just doesn't happen. Nevertheless, once I figured out that the way to launch this model is nice and smooth with not a lot of effort, instead of trying to throw it into orbit, the launches were surprisingly good! I was getting approx 15 meters from a gentle chuck, which for something so light, is pretty good!
Aerobatics with the model are limited to rudder/elevator type moves, so barrel rolls, loops, stall turns etc. are all good. I'm suitably impressed with the model, although I can't help feeling that in North Wales, the really calm days will be few and far between
Cheers for the video Barnes, I'll have to get some extracted from my camera now

Indeed it was. Spaziplex. I like it. Not as much as the Tupperware 14MZ, but I like it.
Actually, I'm glad I had access to a 12 channel radio with all sorts of programming options and features, with telemetry, just for a little 2 channel chuck glider
