I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Friday 16th
Had a good session on the Orme this afternoon with Jem and Mats, real good blow so flew the Vector with ballast or to be correct half ballast for the first time. Very nice really hacks round the sky and you can fly really big aeros
Re: Friday 16th
Had a great evening at the field welcoming some of the IMAC'ers,
Andy had a double maiden, his new funjet (which i bent the nose of) and his 55cc SU-26 took to the air it flew very well but we have a few tweaks to do on it to get it nice I managed to land it with a high Idle inforount of a crowed which pleased me imensley!
Superstar Thomas David was quiet simply AWSOME! dont think we will ever see Jem EF Extra flown quite like that!
Great night with Daz Dorgan so now off to bed!

Re: Friday 16th
Indeed, the Funjet maiden was interesting. Needs a hefty chuck to get this one in the air, and smooth application of throttle to stop the torque reaction. Luckily the foam Multiplex have used on the Funjet Ultra is really rather tough, so no real damage (which makes a change, eh Barnes?!)
The SU26 maiden was interesting too. FLying an noisey engine powered planeis rather different to little electric stuff, and turbines. The throttle response is somewhere between the two. It's quite nice to have a model that goes in the exact direction you point it too! Just need to tweak the CG about a bit, then get all the rates sorted, before giving it a proper wringing out. I'm getting used to starting the engine too, which is nice
Nice to meet some of the IMAC boys too
