I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

Well done!
I thought the A covered everything in the discipline you took it in (ie fixed wing)
What does the Electric Thermal A cert let you do?

Cheer guys. The test was really difficult, it was a real struggle at times to complete the manouevres to the standard required Smile I used my Graphite 2e, 3m "slightly warm-liner" model to do the test Marty, just the ticket.

I'm not entirely sure what having the Electric thermal A cert allows me to do Sam, Extrapolating from the fixed wing A test, I presume it allows me to fly thermals on my own? Twisted Evil

Oh, and Tim, the designated landing area for the first flight was the little bit of longer grass, just before the strip. I wanted to ensure I didn't damage the prop on landing, which would have prevented me from completing the test. We all know the BMFA safety code says you should never fly with a damaged prop Wink

Last night was fun though. I can't wait for more calm evenings in the summer Smile Although we should perhaps consider banning the lunatic model that Barnesy was flying.....

So that's why you were so crowded at Delyn flying your chucking thing - you just weren't allowed to fly on your own Suspect Laughing

I belive the idea is to have braging rights over Richey B because he hasnt got it!,

It was a discusion we had at the feild one night to see who could get the most BMFA acreditations on the back of there card some of them are really quite simple as far as the flying gose so our aim is to get as many willing partisipants through them as possible (if there intrested of course)

I was trying to be very critical of Andy flying but in fairness the test flight was bang on! (although a 1.35k glider dose help somwhat) and as predicted his geek like knoladge of the handbook made the questions a breeze

Pressure on now boys who`s next

Hah haaaa, I never though of it like that!

To be honest Mr Barnes, I reckon that little lunatic machine you were flying last night would be better suited to the test!

Seriously chaps, if you fancy getting some more letters on your BMFA card, roll up for your silent flight (electric) A test!
