I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

So what is the weather going to do for this evening? Will it be fine or will it be a washout?

Re: May 6
Not much wind at all in St Asaph, but a fair bit of cloud. It was raining this morning, not heavy mind. The roads are all pretty dry now too.
I'm planning on heading over to the field at about 4pm ish. Will provide weather update when I get there, courtesy of the marvels of modern technology!

Re: May 6
And just for completeness, the weather at the field as I drove past at 9pm, a slight breeze, and going dark. Marvellous.
Had a good evening to be fair. The sun even showed up for an hour or so, along with a good handful of members. Not much flying, but plenty of chat! I had a good few flights with the chucky gliders, including the odd bit of thermal activity, Brian and Jem had some flights with noisy petrol thingies, Barnes junior was true to form by ejecting the canopy mid flight, of his Sereno, as well as a duet with Barnes senior, flying synchronised foamies. Oh, and not to forget Pete Slaters spot landing
Roll on next month, and hopefully the sun will be able to make it for the entire afternoon/evening

Having seen his flights witht eh EDF Jerry last night, he could quite easily have meant floor. I mean, he managed to hit the deck with it on more than one occasion!
