About 7aHr minimum I would recommend.
The bigger the better, but then they get......
a) heavy
b) larger
c) costly

I used s/hand alarm batteries for years. Free from most alarm engineers. Saddly my contact changed jobs but its worth a scout around. They were 12volt 7a/h.
