I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Re: RCGF 45cc Petrol Engine
RCGF:- 43mm between mounting bolt centres. Mounting bolts 5mm. Width of exhaust opening 26mm. Don't know hight. Have a dimensioned diagram but not much more info on it.
CRRC 40 is completly diferent from the 45. The CRRC 40 is a kit. Which one? I have a CRRC 40 and the specific pitts silencer that goes with it, can measure if required.

If you are thinking of buying new the CRRC 45 is discontinued, but old stock still about. The CRRC 40 kit is continuing, it's light and OK if you need to turn a 20*8 prop to clear a large cowl. The CRRC ignition does not have as good a reputation as the Rcexl. But, a better alternative IMO would be the JC28 or the revised back plate version of the DLE30 due out at the end of the month. The newer MT-35 and the MLD-35 are too new and are still getting QC problems. This info gleaned from the various forums.
The exhaust of the CRRC40 is unique in that the mounting holes are diagonally across the exhaust port and not straight across and use 5mm bolts. 23mm wide by 20mm high opening. The flange is in line with the verticle axis of the cylinder but on the CRRC45 it is at an angle. Look at the links and all be clear (as mud). Hope this helps.
